
Om Namah Shivay serial creator Dheeraj Kumar has d*ed at the age of 79 in Mumbai. The veteran actor and TV producer passed away on July 15 after being treated for pneumonia at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. His family confirmed he was on ventilator support in the ICU before his death.

Kumar was admitted on July 14 with breathing issues caused by pneumonia, and his condition worsened overnight. He d*ed around 11:40 am with his son by his side, according to IndiaTV News. Just days before, he had attended the ISKCON temple inauguration in Navi Mumbai and praised Prime Minister Modi’s message on Sanatan Dharma, reported India Today.

Dheeraj Kumar began as a film actor in the 1960s and appeared in over 21 Punjabi films. He later founded Creative Eye, producing spiritual and mythological shows like Om Namah Shivay and Jap Tap Vrat. His legacy shaped Indian religious storytelling on television. His death is a major loss for the Indian entertainment industry and his fans worldwide.
