Padma Shri Kaur Singh Trailer Review: The 37 Years Old Untold Story Of India’s Greatest Boxer, Finally Unfolds

A story that went unnoticed and untold for nearly 37 years, is finally unfolding up. The story of Padma Shri Kaur Singh, one of India’s greatest boxers ever, is going to be presented as a film by Karam Batth in association with Slay Records.

Starring Karam Batth and Prabh Grewal in the lead, ‘Padma Shri Kaur Singh’ narrates the life story of Padma Shri Awardee Kaur Singh. Born in Sangrur, Kaur Singh is the only Indian Boxer ever to face the legendary Muhammad Ali, a feat he achieved in 1980. He retired from Boxing in 1984 after participating in the Los Angeles Olympics and winning two bouts.

Karam Batth plays the lead as Kaur Singh while Prabh Grewal plays Kaur Singh’s love interest in the film and the reason behind Kaur Singh’s decision to enter the world of boxing. The trailer has given us a glimpse of the comedy and the emotion we are going to experience in the film.

The film is more focussed on how Kaur Singh became ‘The Kaur Singh’ rather than his boxing career. It narrates the background story behind the great boxer, his anger, his heartbreak, his aspirations, his strength and his character.

Vikram Pradhan’s direction has totally impressed us. The movie feels grand and of utmost quality production. The camerawork has been amazing too in the trailer and we are really looking forward to how Vikram has fulfilled our expectations with this tough film.

We hope the movie is going to be as promising as the trailer. Padma Shri Kaur Singh brings to the audience an untold story of a legend and it adds that extra pressure of a biopic. The movie must go down in history as Kaur Singh’s name has. We will be eagerly waiting for 8 July, 2022, the day the film finally hits the theaters.
