Pakistan May Grant Rs 14 Crore to Masood Azhar After India’s Anti-Terror Strikes

In a controversial turn of events, the Pakistan government is reportedly considering paying Rs 14 crore in compensation to globally designated terrorist and Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar.

According to reports, this hefty amount is linked to damage allegedly caused during Indian air strikes that followed major terror attacks on Indian soil. These air strikes were part of India’s firm response to Pakistan-based terror outfits and their operatives.

Sources indicate that Pakistan’s compensation plan for Azhar stems from claims of property loss and other damages during these Indian military operations. The decision, if finalized, could draw global criticism, especially from nations that view Masood Azhar as a key figure behind numerous terror incidents, including the 2019 Pulwama attack.

Masood Azhar, long protected within Pakistan’s borders despite being on the United Nations’ list of terrorists, continues to remain a contentious figure in international diplomacy. While Pakistan has often denied providing shelter to terror leaders, actions like these further deepen suspicions.

Indian security experts and political analysts have already voiced concern, stating such financial support indirectly validates and empowers terrorist ideology.

If carried out, the move may isolate Pakistan further on the global front, complicating its relations with countries committed to fighting terrorism.
