Pakistan’s Tarar Alleges Imminent Indian Strike, Warns of Military Action in Coming Hours

Tensions between India and Pakistan have escalated once again, as Pakistan’s Information Minister, Attaullah Tarar, sounded an alarm on Monday. During a press conference in Lahore, Tarar claimed that India could be preparing to carry out a military strike against Pakistan within the next 24 to 36 hours.

He accused the Indian government of plotting this move to divert attention from the growing criticism Prime Minister Narendra Modi is facing domestically amid the ongoing general elections. Tarar labeled it a “dangerous diversion tactic,” suggesting that New Delhi is trying to manipulate public perception through external conflict.

The minister urged international organizations and global powers to take serious note of the situation. “We appeal to the world to closely monitor India’s intentions,” he said. Tarar added that Pakistan is not seeking conflict but will not shy away from defending itself if provoked.

This statement has sparked renewed anxiety in the region, already weighed down by decades of cross-border tensions and history of armed clashes. As of now, the Indian government has not responded to Tarar’s remarks.

The development comes at a critical time when both nations are already under the global lens. Whether this warning will translate into real action or remain a war of words is yet to be seen but the region is holding its breath.
