Pankaj Tripathi Reacts to the Rumours and Controversies Related to OMG 2

OMG 2 is all set to hit the big screens on August 11, 2023. This film is the sequel of OMG which revolved around an atheist man and how the God helps him establish his faith in the divine energy.

OMG 2 starring Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi is the much awaited film of the year as people are excited to watch Akshay Kumar play Lord Shiva on the big screen.

There were rumours about the film that it addresses the issue related to LGBTQ+ community. It was rumoured that the story revolves around a gay boy who dies after being ostracized.

Then after this, God comes down to Earth and educates people that love knows no gender. However these rumours were trashed by the makers.

In an interview with Zoom, Pankaj Tripathi who is playing the lead role of Kanti Sharan Mudgal reacted to such rumours and said “Lekin sachchai samne aayegi jab film release hogi (people are saying all sorts of things, but the truth will be out when the film releases).”

Apart from Pankaj and Akshay, Yami Gautam will also be seen in the film playing the role of a lawyer.

After the Adipurush controversy, CBFC decided to send OMG 2 for a double review to avoid hurting the sentiments of Hindu community.

The censor board received major backlash and criticisms for allowing a film like Adipurush to release on the big screen. To prevent such a damage again, CBFC decided to review OMG 2 and suggest some changes to the makers if needed.
