The fans of Katrina Kaif, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ishaan Khatter have been waiting for the release of their upcoming movie ‘Phone Bhoot’ for a long time. The film is going to be a horror-comedy and will hit the theatres on 4 November 2022.
Directed by Gurmmeet Singh and written by Ravi Shankaran and Jasvinder Singh Bath, Phone Bhoot marks the first collaboration between Katrina, Siddhant and Ishaan. The film was earlier expected to release in July 2022. But it was postponed to the November release. The makers of the film have recently released the film’s trailer and we have various opinions on the same.

Phone Bhoot’s trailer opens with a hilarious introduction of a ghost and a dramatic narration that states, ‘Kripya Is Chal-Chitra Ko Dekh Kar Darna Nahi, Kyunki Haqeeqat Ka Is Film Se Koi Talluk Nahi’. It then brings the two handsome hunks, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ishaan Khatter on screen. The two have some exceptional powers to see and communicate with ghosts.
While the boys do some random funny stuff, Katrina Kaif is introduced as a pretty and funny ghost. She meets the guys and keeps a business proposal on their table. The three soon turn partners and the fun begins. We also got to see Jackie Shroff in the role of the dramatic character ‘Aatma Ram’.

All this sums up the trailer of Phone Bhoot which overall looks good, but we feel like something major is missing. As the film promises to be a horror-comedy, its trailer surely had an ample amount of comedy, but the horror was missing. Maybe that’s what the makers want to keep in wraps until the film releases.
But what makes this trailer fun is the hilarious digs. Can you imagine Katrina Kaif taking a dig at bad Hindi? Yes, the actress is often criticised for her bad hold on Hindi, and in this film, we caught her asking Sheeba Chaddha ‘Tumhari hindi weak hai?’ as she struggles to pronounce ‘moksha’.

Not only this but there are some Bollywood references too which will tickle your funny bones. As the trailer throws, dialogue ‘Boht hard’ straight on Siddhant Chaturvedi’s face from his own film Gully Boy. Apart from this, you will also find more Bollywood references from movies like Haqeeqat and Koi Mil Gaya.
And now comes the musical part. The trailer of Phone Bhoot has included visual chunks from the film’s songs. Katrina surely is going to kill it with her dance moves in another banger song, and we might also get to hear the superhit Punjabi song Kali Teri Guth, Te Paranda Tera Laal Ni in the film.

Overall, the trailer of Phone Bhoot seems to have impressed many fans, but we expected it to be more spiced to hit the right spot. For now, we have good expectations from the film. We hope it turns out more entertaining in the theatres.
