
On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked a significant step in enhancing Haryana’s aviation connectivity by flagging off a commercial flight from Hisar to Ayodhya. In addition, he laid the foundation stone for a new terminal at Maharaja Agrasen Airport, aimed at strengthening regional connectivity.
In line with his vision of making air travel safer, more affordable, and accessible to all, PM Modi announced the construction of the new terminal at an estimated cost of over ₹410 crore. The state-of-the-art facility will include a modern passenger terminal, a cargo terminal, and an air traffic control (ATC) building. The project is expected to be completed in two years.
Regarding the inaugural flight, a previous statement mentioned that scheduled flights from Hisar to Ayodhya would operate twice a week. In addition, there will be three flights weekly to Jammu, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, and Chandigarh, marking a significant leap in Haryana’s aviation connectivity.
PM Modi is in Haryana to launch multiple development initiatives worth ₹10,000 crore. This visit also coincides with the birth anniversary of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar, a towering figure in Dalit empowerment and the architect of India’s Constitution.
The event was attended by Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, along with several state ministers.
