Prime Minister Narendra Modi To Visit Punjab And Haryana On August 24 To Inaugurate Several Hospitals

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Punjab and Haryana on August 24. As per the info, he will be inaugurating the Amrita Hospital in Faridabad, Haryana, and then would travel to Punjab’s Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar District (Mohali) to inaugurate the Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre in Mullanpur at 2:15 PM. 

The Amrita Hospital in Faridabad, managed by Mata Amritanandamayi Math, will be the super speciality centre equipped with 2,600 beds. With the cost of construction estimated around ₹6,000 crore, the hospital would be providing state-of-the-art healthcare facilities to not just residents of Faridabad but the entire NCR, giving a major boost to the healthcare sector.

On the other hand, to provide a world class cancer care facility to the people of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal and the Chandigarh UT, prime minister Narendra Modi will be inaugurating the Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital & Research Centre in Punjab’s Mohali. Additionally, this will facilitate the people of Punjab and its neighbouring states as well as tge UT. 

The cancer hospital will be equipped with 300 beds and all modern facilities as well as machines and equipment used to treat any type of cancer. All modalities like Radiotherapy, Surgery, Medical oncology – Chemotherapy, Bone marrow transplant and immunotherapy would be available at the Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, Mohali. 

Furthermore, an alert had also been issued regarding a terrorist attack in Punjab. The media reports claim that as per the intelligence reports, Pakistan’s ISI may is try carrying out terrorist attacks in Chandigarh UT and Mohali. Additionally, the security has been beefed up across the state and the border areas. 

Ahead of PM Modi’s visit, the Mullanpur Garibdas zone (new Chandigarh) has been declared as the “no fly zone” by the Mohali district administration on Sunday. Furthermore, the Punjab police has tightened the security across the borders and a continuous checking of vehicles is being carried out in Mohali and the neighbouring areas.
