Popular television actor is viral on social media and highlighted in news headlines as he has been arrested on Friday i.e. June 4th, 2021 for raping a five-year-old minor in 2019.
The complaint was filed in 2019 when the identity of the accused wasn’t established. The police arrested him and the court sent him for judicial custody for two weeks.
Pearl V Puri has been arrested under the sections IPC 276 AB- Punishment for rape of woman under 12 years of age, and Section 4- Punishment for penetrative sexual assault, 12- Punishment for sexual harassment, 19- Reporting of offense and 21- Punishment for failure to report or record a case of POCSO (Protection, of Children from Sexual Offense).

While Ekta Kapoor shared a very strong post and claimed that she has recordings of her conversation with the girl’s (accused) mother in which she is clearly saying that Pearl is not involved in all this.
When asked about this, DCP of Vasai, Sanjay Kumar Patil stated that,
“No, the accusations are not false. His name has come up in the investigation. There is evidence against him. That is why the police have arrested him. The truth will be decided in the trial.”
Pearl has filed an application for bail, the decision on which is still pending. Also as per recent reports, the actor will be shifted to Thane Jail of his RT-PCR Test results Negative.
