Pakistani actress and model Humaira Asghar Ali was found d*ad in her Karachi apartment, nine months after she had quietly passed away without anyone noticing. The discovery, both shocking and heartbreaking, came earlier this week when police and a court-appointed bailiff entered her flat to execute a court order over unpaid rent.
According to Geo News, the 32-year-old had not been seen or heard from since late 2024. What the police found inside her upscale apartment left even experienced officials shaken.
Post-Mortem Reveals Horrific Condition of the Body
The post-mortem report painted a haunting picture. Her body was in an advanced state of decomposition. Most of her organs had decayed into an unidentifiable black mass, and her face was no longer recognisable. “Parts of the body were entirely devoid of muscle tissue, and the bones began to disintegrate upon touch,” the report stated. “The brain matter was completely decomposed via autolysis, and internal organs turned into a black-coloured mass. The cartilage in joints was absent; however, it said no fractures were detected in bones.”
Experts also found brown insects in her remains, especially in her hair, but no maggots.
“According to the post-mortem findings, the head and spine remained intact, but there was no spinal cord as the body was highly decomposed. It further said brown-coloured insects were present, especially in the hair, but no maggots were found.”
Signs of a Life Frozen in Time
The apartment told its own silent story. One of the balcony doors was open, the water pipes were dry and rusted, and the food in her kitchen had expired months ago. Police believe she likely ded between her last call in October 2024 and the time her electricity was cut off for non-payment. There were no candles in the home, suggesting she might have been living in complete darkness toward the end. “Humaira’s body is likely nine months old. She probably ded between paying her last utility bills and when her electricity was disconnected in October 2024, probably due to non-payment of the bill,” an official said.

The case has shaken the community and raised difficult questions about loneliness, unnoticed suffering, and how even someone once in the public eye could vanish for months without a single alarm being raised.
