Prime Minister Narendra Modi Resigns From PM Post: President Draupadi Accepts The Resignation 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has resigned from his post with the Union Council of Ministers. This political development took place on Wednesday after the results of the Lok Sabha elections were revealed on June 4. 

The Prime Minister today met President Draupadi Murmu and submitted his resignation. The President accepted it. This information has been given by Rashtrapati Bhavan. President Draupadi Murmu, along with accepting the resignation of PM Modi, has asked him to take charge till the formation of the new government.

News is also coming that the swearing in of the new NDA government will take place on June 8. Narendra Modi will take oath as Prime Minister for the third consecutive time. Political turmoil is continuing in the capital Delhi since the results of Lok Sabha elections were announced. 

On Wednesday, separate meetings of NDA and opposition India Alliance parties were held in Delhi. During this time, there was discussion in the NDA meeting regarding the formation of the new government. It is being said that as the leader of the NDA alliance, Narendra Modi can take oath as Prime Minister for the third time on June 8.

Meanwhile, it was informed by Rashtrapati Bhavan on Wednesday that PM Modi met President Draupadi Murmu. The Prime Minister submitted his resignation along with the Union Council of Ministers. The President accepted the resignation and requested the Prime Minister and the Union Council of Ministers to continue in office until the new government is formed. Earlier on Wednesday, in the Union Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the PM’s residence, the recommendation to dissolve the current Lok Sabha (17th Lok Sabha) was approved.
