Punjab: AAP Govt’s ZERO Tolerance, Minister Vijay Singla Dismissed For Taking Commission

The Aam Aadmi Party govt of Punjab is leaving no stone unturned to eradicate the corruption from the state. The zero tolerance policy of the AAP govt against corruption has set another example today as Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has dismissed Vijay Singla for taking commission. Sources said there is “concrete evidence” that Singla was demanding one per cent commission from officials for contracts. This comes after AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal had promised to crack down on corruption in Punjab.

The latest Tweet by ANI states, ‘Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann sacks state’s Health Minister Vijay Singla following complaints of corruption against him. He was demanding a 1% commission from officials for contracts. Concrete evidence found against Singla: Punjab CMO’

When Bhagwant Mann was elected as the CM of Punjab, the AAP convenor and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal had said that the AAP government has eradicated corruption in the national capital, and Mann and his ministers will also “now run an honest government in Punjab as well”. Next time if someone asks you for a bribe, don’t refuse, just take out your phone, record the incident and share it on the number that will be released. It will be the CM’s personal WhatsApp number. We will initiate strict action against that official.”

Now with Vijay Singla’s dismissal, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has shown the way out of his own Mansa MLA and Minister. He has been accused of corruption and taking commissions. It is being told that he was demanding one percent commission on the contract from the officers. CM Mann said that even one percent corruption will not be tolerated at any cost. People have formed the government of Aam Aadmi Party with a lot of expectations, it is our duty to live up to that expectation. Arvind Kejriwal ji had taken a promise that we will root out the system of corruption, we are all his soldiers, there is no place for even 1% corruption.

Minister Vijay Singla’s dismissal is seen as a warning for not only the govt officials & ministers but even the MLAs of the ruling party and the opposition, that the Bhagwant Mann govt won’t be tolerating corruption at any cost.
