Punjab AGTF Arrests Singer Harbir Singh In Kabaddi Player Dharminder Bhinda Murder Case

The newly formed anti-gangster task force of Punjab police has arrested Punjabi singer Harbir Singh from Dehradun, Utrakhand, in the murder case of Dharminder Bhinda. Harbir is also accused of running an extortion racket. He is not just a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, but a known accomplice of gangster Jaipal Singh Bhullar.

During the search operation of Punjab police, Harbir Singh was nabbed by authorities in Dehradun. The Punjabi singer is said to have been an associate and conspirator in kabaddi player Dharminder Bhinda’s murder in Patiala. 

“We carried out the special operation on the basis of tip-off”, said the Mohali SSP Mr. Vivek Sheel Soni while addressing a press conference on the matter.

Singer Harbir Singh is also accused of collecting extortion money and property on behalf of his handles functioning across the country while based abroad. A case was registered under IPC Section-384 and 34, as well as Sections 7 and 8 of the Ammunition Act at Kharar police station against both Harbir Singh and Amritpal Singh

The search was started in the late hours of Thursday. The anti-gangster task force nabbed the Punjabi singer and lyricist Harbir Singh who belongs to Pindi Aulakh village near Amritsar. The police have even recovered the arms and ammunition from his place. Though as per the info, his aide Amritpal Singh fled the spot.

While one more gangster caught by a Patiala police team from Haryana was identified as Fauji.

“We had the information that Harbir Singh and Amritpal Singh, alias Satta of Fatehgarh Sahib, were hiding somewhere in Kharar. Arshdeep Singh, alias Arash Dalla of Moga, is now in Canada and his associate Gurjant Singh, alias Janta son of Sikander Singh from Fatehgarh Sahib, is now in Australia, were instructing both accused and handling them”, said Mohali SSP Vivek Sheel Soni.

As per the sources, Harbir Singh was allegedly involved in threatening players in kabaddi leagues into toeing his line.

This is the first operation carried out by the newly formed AGTF by CM Bhagwant Mann.

While ADGP Pramod Ban heads the AGTF, AIG Gurmeet Chauhan and IG Gurpreet Singh Bhullar are the key members. As per the police officials, the raids were conducted at several hideouts of the gangsters in Haryana and Uttarakhand which led to the arrests.
