Punjab Minister Aman Arora: 90 Gangsters Nabbed & Neutralized In Last One Month

Aman Arora, cabinet minister in the AAP government of Punjab, claimed that the state police’s Anti Gangster Task Force (AGTF),  established by CM Bhagwant Mann to specifically act against the gangsters, has nabbed and neutralised over 90 gangsters in the previous month

Earlier on July 20, in a Tweet, minister Arora quoted:

A decisive battle against gangs,gangsters & drugs has been started by @BhagwantMann ji’s Govt. This gang-culture which had been patronised by the Govts in the past will soon be the story of the past.None who dare to challenge the law of the land will be spared

Minister Aman Arora even lashed out at the previous governments led by Congress and Akali Dal for patronising the gangsters. While addressing a press conference, he said, “the gangsters and mafias flourished during the tenure of the previous governments, but we are committed to make Punjab a gangster free state.”

“CM Bhagwant Mann has initiated a war against the gangsters, drug peddlers and mafias. The Punjab police had seized over 7 lakh intoxicating tablets, one of the highest recoveries in a day, Being Smuggled from Uttar Pradesh by peddlers. Extensive anti-drug drives were being launched to eradicate the menace of drugs”, said minister Arora. 

As per the report of Hindustan Times, minister Aman Arora even added that the Punjab government will take a soft stand against those gangsters who are ready to surrender and return to the social mainstream.
