Punjab Police Arrests YouTuber Jasbir Singh in Major Espionage Network Linked to Pakistan

Punjab Police has uncovered a major espionage network suspected to be linked with handlers and terror outfits based in Pakistan. Jasbir Singh, a YouTuber from Rupnagar who runs a channel named “Jaan Mahal”, has been arrested as part of the investigation.

Acting on credible intelligence, the State Special Operations Cell (SSOC) in Mohali launched a thorough probe into Jasbir’s activities.

Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav shared the update on X (formerly Twitter), saying, “Acting swiftly on actionable intelligence, SSOC Mohali has unearthed a critical espionage network linked to Jasbir Singh, a resident of Village Mahlan, Rupnagar.”

He further said, “Investigations have revealed that Jasbir attended the #Pakistan National Day event in #Delhi on Danish’s invitation, where he met Pakistani #Army officials and vloggers. He travelled to Pakistan on three occasions (2020, 2021, 2024), and his electronic devices contained multiple Pakistan-based numbers, now under detailed forensic scrutiny.”

After the arrest of Jyoti Malhotra, another suspect, Jasbir reportedly attempted to delete all traces of communication with Pakistani intelligence operatives (PIOs) to avoid being caught. An FIR has been registered at SSOC Mohali in connection with the case.

The DGP added, “Investigations are underway to dismantle the broader espionage-terror network and identify all collaborators. @PunjabPoliceInd reaffirms its unwavering commitment to safeguarding national security and neutralizing all threats posed by such anti-national elements.”

The investigation is still ongoing, with officials working to uncover the full extent of the network and those involved.
