According to the sources, Punjabi Actor Deep Sidhu is no more! The actor has died in a road accident. According to the sources, Deep Sidhu was travelling in a Scorpio Car, which collided with a truck near Delhi on Kundli-Manesar Highway. The news has left fans and the people of Punjab in utter shock. The reports also allege that Deep was travelling with 2 more people, one of them being a woman. Two people have been reported to have died on the spot, including Deep Sidhu.
Deep Sidhu was born in Muktsar, Punjab in 1984. He was a key figure during the farmers’ protest 2020-2021. He has had a successful political and acting career. He started his film career with the movie Ramta Jogi in 2015. His film ‘Jora 10 Numbaria’ was widely appreciated and well received by the fans.
He has been awarded with various awards during his film career. In the 2019 Indian General Elections, Deep Sidhu stepped into politics and campaigned for Gurdaspur BJP MP Sunny Deol. He later came into the limelight during the farmers’ protest in 2020-21. He was also the prime accused, along with Lakha Sidhana, for the violence at the Red Fort, Delhi on 26 January 2021.
Not only police, but farmers too blamed him for the incident. A proper investigation was carried out against Deep for allegedly instigating a riot on 26 January, 2021 and hoisting a Sikh religious flag on the Red Fort. He was even arrested by the Police under various charges on 9 February, 2021.
