Punjabi Cinema was surely a platform widely known for comedy movies, but the scene isn’t the same anymore. The Punjabi Film Industry is growing rapidly and has now become open to experimenting as well. And a perfect example to this is the recently released movie Lover.
Lover starred Guri in the leading role, with Ronak Joshi playing his love interest. It also featured actors like Raj Dhaliwal, Avtar Gill and Yashpal Sharma in pivotal roles. And as the name suggests, Lover was a typical love story with an intense storyline. We have not watched many such films in Punjabi Cinema, hence the making of Lover was exceptional and turned out to be outstanding as well.

And if you have watched the film already, you will be happy to know that its sequel has been announced. The lead actor Guri took it to his Instagram account and shared the official announcement of the sequel. In the post, he wrote, ‘Lally’s Love for HEER IS A Journey, starting at Forever and Ending at Never…’
Though he has not revealed any more details about the star cast, director, storyline or anything else, we are more than happy and thrilled with the announcement only. The film has turned the tables in Punjabi Cinema, and we expect it to do even better in its sequel.
