Punjabi Singer Jasbir Jassi Requests The Government For Prohibiting Gun Culture In Songs

The groovy, foot tapping Punjabi numbers that keep emerging as chart-busters have caught the attention of the Punjabi singer and lyricist Jasbir Jassi as liquor, drugs and violence often feature in the lyrics. 

‘Dil le gayee Kudi Gujarat di’ singer Jasbir Jassi, tweeted and requested both the central and the state government that they must ban such songs that glorify violence and jeopardize the culture.

After this, his Twitter flooded with loads of comments in which people were praising him for taking a great step and some were appreciating his songs that show how he sings so well without sanctifying violence and gangster culture.
