Punjab’s CM Charanjit Channi Laid The Foundation Stone Of Punjab Film City In Fatehgarh Sahib

The Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi today laid the foundation stone of the Punjab film city which will be constructed by the PFC world entertainment private Limited at village Mukaronpur in Fatehgarh Sahib, Mohali road. As part of an important endeavor under the Invest Punjab and Business First policy, the Chief Minister said that the film city would come up in a 400 acres area.

According to the reports of The Tribune, Channi said “Punjabi films were more successful than other language films and Punjabi songs were liked across the world.” He called upon script writers and songwriters to not to promote vulgarity and anti-social activities. He said “Punjabis had succeeded wherever they had gone and hoped that they would dominate in the film industry too.”

Additionally, the Deputy Chief Minister S. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa said that good songs and movies need encouragement and assured that the Punjab Government won’t lag behind in this regard. “Full cooperation would be extended to the film fraternity in carrying out their operations in the State in an uninterrupted way”, said Randhawa.

On the occasion, MLA Gurpreet Singh GP said that Bassi Pathana usually notices film shootings which result in job avenues ultimately leading to overall development of Bassi Pathana.

Meanwhile, other than these, the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Randeep Singh Nabha, Cabinet Minister Raj Kumar Verka, Special Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Rahul Tewari, Secretary Information and Public Relations Kamal Kishor Yadav, Special Secretary Information and Public Relations Department Dr. Senu Duggal, Deputy Commissioner Poonamdeep Kaur and other officers of various departments were present.
