PWC Chairperson Manisha Gulati Concludes Case Against Singer Harjit Harman And Karan Aujla For Song ‘Sharab’

Punjabi singers Karan Aujla and Harjit Harman landed into controversy for the song ‘Sharab’ from the album BacThafu*UP. The song is written by Karan Aujla featuring Harjit Harma has been accused of making offensive remarks against women in general. A resident of Chandigarh, Panditrao Dharennvar who is known for carrying around hoardings with social messages, had sent a legal notice to the Police Commissioner, Jalandhar and Senior Police Captain, Patiala against Karan Aujla, Harjit Harman and Music Label Speed Records, through which the album is released.

To this legal report, singer Harjit Harman reacted and made an official statement through an Instagram post. He penned down that he only sung a few lines in the song and he always promoted punjab and punjabi culture through his songs which everytime garnered immense love from fans. He further said that he leaves it to the audience to decide if they were offensive or not.

And now, Chairperson Manisha Gulati, took to Instagram and shared a video in which Harjit Harman and Satvinder Singh Kohli, Owner of Speed Records were seen. In the video she said that she called both of them for a personal meeting and also had a telephonic meeting with Karan Aujla, both Harjit and Karan told their version behind the song and assured that they will always take care of Punjabi culture and will continue the same in future as well. The case is now closed and also strict action will be taken against the people who are reporting false FIR and statements to the commision.

Chairperson Manisha Gulati said that Harjit Harman will soon be coming up with a song which showcases the life of woman and mother. She respects the singer and feels it is honorable that people in Punjab and Punjabi music industry are supporting women and punjab women commission.
