The groom, the bride, and all the arrangements are ready — but will the wedding actually happen? In Bhool Chuk Maaf, Rajkummar Rao plays a groom caught in a hilarious twist: he’s stuck in a time loop. Directed by Karan Sharma, the newly released trailer sets the stage in a small town, opening with a police officer urging two families to get the couple married before they decide to elope.
Wamiqa Gabbi’s father lays down a condition — Rajkummar must get a government job to marry his daughter. He succeeds, but just when it’s time to tie the knot, he finds himself reliving the same day over and over. His struggle to make others understand the strange phenomenon adds to the chaos.
Sharing the trailer, Rajkummar wrote:
“Titli hai Ranjan ka pyaar; par haldi par atka hai uska sansaar, Toh dekhne zaroor aaiyega inki kahaani with parivaar. Get ready for a bhasad wali shaadi where everything goes wrong…”
This is the first on-screen collaboration between Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi. Produced by Maddock Films, Bhool Chuk Maaf also stars Sanjay Mishra, Seema Pahwa, Zakir Hussain, Raghubir Yadav, and others. The film is set to release in cinemas on May 9.
