sadkein rahengi, tab tak gaddhhe hote rahenge.” The statement quickly went viral, with many accusing him of being careless about public infrastructure.

Explaining his remark, Singh added, “No country in the world has roads that remain completely pothole-free forever. There’s no such technology yet.” He said even the best roads get damaged due to heavy rains and constant traffic. “Potholes appear in every state during monsoon, not just Madhya Pradesh,” he said. Singh also admitted quality concerns, stating, “If the quality was better, there wouldn’t be potholes. But that doesn’t mean we allow potholes. Our aim is to improve quality by using better techniques.”

Reacting to a recent viral video of damaged roads in Sidhi, Singh said, “PWD cannot start repair work immediately every time a video goes viral.” He explained the department follows a set plan and limited budget. “We already have major road projects lined up. Our goal is to gradually improve roads across the state,” he said.
