After Bachchhan Paandey, Prithviraj, Raksha Bandhan and Cuttputlli’s miserable performances, Akshay Kumar is now all set to meet the cinema fans once again with his fifth film in 2022. We are talking about Ram Setu whose teaser earned a positive response from the fans.
The makers of Ram Setu have now released the film’s trailer on YouTube. And fortunately, this film seems to have the power to save Akshay Kumar’s sinking career.

The trailer of Ram Setu opens with the government’s appeal to the Supreme Court to permit the demolition of Ram Setu. Nasser is then seen talking about Indian beliefs about Lord Rama and Ram Setu. He then appoints Akshay Kumar, the atheist archaeologist turned believer on an archaeological expedition to Ram Setu.
While Jacqueline Fernandez and Satya Dev join Akshay Kumar on his mission, they soon realize that it’s a risky mission. In a scene, Nushrratt Baruccha is also seen talking about Ram Setu and she states, “Jis Duniya Mein Ek Saal Purani Sadak Bhi Gaddhe Mein Kho Jaati Hai, Wahan Saat Hazaar Saal Purana Itihaas Aasani Se Kaise Milega?”
And as the film’s trailer approaches the end, Akshay Kumar is seen coming out of the water carrying a big stone on his shoulder. This basically has given a basic outline of the film’s story.

But apart from the story, the science factor also seems really fascinating in Ram Setu. The fans will also get to see a great performance by a robot character.
The film’s description describes the story of Ram Setu as, “An atheist archaeologist turned believer must race against time to prove the true existence of the legendary Ram Setu before evil forces destroy the pillar of India’s heritage. An action adventure with a strong serving of twists and turns, Ram Setu promises to keep the viewer engaged and entertained, making it the perfect festive film to be enjoyed with the entire family in cinemas.”

Apart from Akshay Kumar in a promising lead role in Ram Setu, we will also get to see Satya Dev, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nushrratt Bharuccha, Nasser, Pravesh Rana, Jennifer Piccinato in pivotal supporting roles.
Now coming to the film’s credits, Ram Setu is directed by Abhishek Sharma and co-produced by Cape of Good Films along with Amazon Prime Video, Abundantia Entertainment, and Lyca Productions. The film will be hitting the silver screens on 25 October 2022. It will witness a clash with Ajay Devgn & Siddharth Malhotra’s Thank God.
