He said these portrayals created a negative impression and contributed to the film’s poor reception. Kumar urged the makers of Ramayana to avoid similar creative choices during the Ramayana pre-release screening process.

Kumar also shared his views on the recently released trailer. He said Ranbir Kapoor’s portrayal of Lord Ram appeared “weak” and lacked the gravitas traditionally associated with the character.
