Yes, we are talking about Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. The film featured Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the leading roles. But it was during the promotions of the film, when Ranbir called Karan Johar a 50-year-old frustrated virgin.
But before you make up your mind thinking something must have gone wrong between the two, let us clear the fact that it was a friendly conversation where in fact, Karan Johar was himself accompanying Ranbir.
The incident got recorded in a video by NDTV where Ranbir is jokingly seen saying that Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is the biopic of Karan Johar. Ranbir says, ‘I am playing Karan Johar. It is actually a biopic that Karan has made. Karan is a frustrated 50-year-old virgin.’
To this, Karan replies to Ranbir by saying, ‘I’m 44, and not 50’, and Ranbir continues to poke at Karan by saying, ‘Really, that big party that you had 5 years back, wasn’t your 50th birthday?’
The fun video then went viral on social media and everybody loved the friendly relationship that Ranbir shared with Karan. Moreover, Karan was one among the very few close industry guests who were invited to the Ranbir-Alia wedding.
