Ranjit Bawa Disappointed By Anupam Kher’s Tweet Regarding Farmers’ Bill

The latest ordinances in the Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, 2020 and The Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement of Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill, 2020 are currently the hot topic on every social media platform. But still this is something which is not being highlighted by media houses the way it should be. The ordinance allows agricultural sale and purchase beyond the boundaries of APMC (Agricultural Product Market Committee).

The farmers of Punjab and Haryana are especially against it and protesting since weeks. Many Punjabi celebrities like Diljit Dosanjh, Ammy Virk, Sargun Mehta, and many more are taking the initiative to stand by the farmers and support them.

Recently, Ranjit Bawa also took it to his social media to express his feelings about one of the tweets by Anupam Kher. In the tweet, Anupam Kher quoted the example of his 1990 film, ‘Jeene Do’. He wrote that the situation of Indian Farmers was really bad, which is now slowly turning positive with the help of the Government.

In response to this, Bawa retweeted, and wrote you are able to see the positive side of it because you don’t have to struggle with the living of a farmer’s life. He added that you should understand the pain of farmers on ground level and not by highlighting the scene from a film.

Before this, Ranjit Bawa has also slammed Kangana Ranaut, when she portrayed Farmers as anti-nationals.
