#RejectKFC Trends On Twitter After KFC Employee In Karnataka Refuses To Play Kannada Music

A video of a KFC Employee has been surfacing all over social media, where a KFC staff member refuses to play a Kannada song, contending that Hindi is the country’s national language. The video has been shot in Karnataka. When the video was broadcasted on Twitter, it captivated a lot of attention from many Karnataka residents, who chastised the KFC employee.

This video has been shared by a woman who requested the Kannada song and also filmed the video and shared it on Twitter, with the caption, “Kannada songs in KFCs in Karnataka are not @KFC_India As a rule!” The two minutes video shows the woman arguing with the staff member who claims that Hindi is the national language of India. At first, a man is seen talking to the woman, then a woman employee comes and jumps into the argument. Soon a higher authority comes to see the situation. The woman condemned KFC’s management in the video.

After this video went viral, many people took to the comment section and showed their outrage towards KFC.

After this video, a statement has been released by KFC, which reads “This video is dated and is now being re-circulated. KFC India has the highest respect for cultural values of all communities. As a brand with presence across the country, it is our endeavor to ensure our consumers have the same KFC experience whenever and wherever they visit us, and hence at present we have a common playlist that is licensed and purchased centrally, and played across restaurants nationwide.”

Meanwhile, last week, a similar issue happened in Tamil Nadu, where Zomato denied a refund by a food delivery app because the customer didn’t speak Hindi. Soon after, there was a major outcry on Twitter.
