Rohit Shetty’s action-packed cop universe has built a strong fan following over the years. Last year, Singham Again – the third part in the Singham franchise – hit theatres on November 1, 2025. The film brought together a stellar cast led by Ajay Devgn and Kareena Kapoor Khan, with Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Akshay Kumar, and Ranveer Singh making cameo appearances.
Singham Again became the fifth film in Rohit Shetty’s cop universe, which already includes Ranveer Singh’s Simmba and Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi. Recently, in a conversation on Komal Nahta’s podcast, Shetty confirmed that sequels to both Simmba and Sooryavanshi are in the works.
He said, “Simmba ka bhi part 2 hoga, Sooryavanshi bhi aage badhegi. Aur bhi log aaenge. Aur bhi filmein banengi cop universe mein. So, that’s why we created that universe.”
Shetty revealed that he never initially planned to create a cop universe. The idea took shape only after Singham’s massive success in 2011. While working on Sooryavanshi in 2019, he began planning Singham Again with a vision to unite major stars and develop character arcs for Tiger and Deepika in future installments. The universe has since grown into a blockbuster franchise with more stories on the way.
