RRR 2 to be Shot in Africa; Check Out Who Confirms the News

RRR was a phenomenal film that impressed all globally. It ended up being the world’s biggest success that had its origins in Tollywood. Its most popular song Naatu Naatu was nominated for the Oscars and it bagged the award of “Best Original Song” at the 95th academy awards. 

Helmed by S. S Rajamouli, the film starred Ram Charan, N. T Rama Rao Jr, Ajay Devgan, Alia Bhatt etc. RRR did a business of around ₹1316 crore worldwide adding several feathers in its cap. 

The first part of the RRR franchise was such a success that the fans couldn’t wait for its second part and finally it’s happening! S.S Rajamouli’s father Vijayendra Prasad, while having a conversation with Bollywood Hungama said “It’s both a yes and a no”. About the sequel he further added “After the release of RRR I shared an idea of the sequel where the story continues with Sitarama Raju (Ram Charan) and Komaram Bheem (NTR Jr) set in Africa.”

He continued, “Knowing my son’s temperament he will not pay any attention to the sequel-idea till the movie with Mahesh is finished. After that if he likes my script and if both the heroes like the script and if they have the time”. 

During the screening of RRR in Chicago earlier, Rajamouli revealed that he would love to do a sequel but he never revealed the details. 

There were also reports of RRR 2 being directed by a Hollywood director under the guidance of Rajamouli but nothing is confirmed yet. 

Not much has been revealed, however the only deets we have about the sequel is that it is happening and it will be shot in Africa with the same star cast! Hoping for it to be a complete banger, RRR 2 has raised the levels of excitement and expectations among the audience.
