One of the most anticipated Bollywood films of the year Runway 34 starring Ajay Devgn, Amitabh Bachchan, Ajey Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh is catching the attention of all.
The upcoming Bollywood film is based on a real incident that follows the story of Captain Vikrant Khanna. He is a flying prodigy, whose flight takes a mysterious course after take-off from an international destination. What follows is an investigation led by the tenacious Narayan Vedant played by Amitabh Bachchan whose goal is to find out what happened 35,000 ft up in the air.
While digging into more about this incident, reports suggest, the film is based on the 2015 Jet Airways Doha Kochi flight incident. Runway 34 has recreated the ‘gravest’ safety incident ever that occurred at any of the Indian airports. During that time around 150 people were on board the aircraft including the crew members. It all happened when the flight had a narrow escape after facing difficulties to land at the Cochin International Airport due to bad weather and poor visibility. The pilots had to make a ‘blind’ landing on the runway without being able to see it.
Now, coming back to the film, it depicts that Amitabh Bachchan will be playing the role of an investigative officer in the film. Ajay Devgn will not only play the lead role in the movie but also donned the director’s hat for the project.
The trailer follows the story of an arrogant Captain Vikrant Khanna played by Devgn, who is under investigation after the flight undergoes a mysterious incident. Rakul Preet, who is also playing a pilot is under the same circumstances as Khanna and both together seem to be hiding some secrets.
