Saif told that some time before the attack on the night, Kareena Kapoor had gone to a party. The actor was at home because he had to go for some important work in the morning. When Kareena returned home, the two talked for a while and then went to the room to sleep. At around 2 o’clock in the night, one of her house helps came running towards her room and told her in a panic that a man had entered her younger son Jeh’s room, who was demanding money.
On hearing the house help, the actor ran towards his son’s room. Saif further said in a conversation with Times of India that when he reached there, the man was standing with a mask on and a hexa blade in both hands.
