After much anticipation and endless speculation, Salman Khan has finally addressed the status of his highly discussed collaboration with director Atlee. Unfortunately for fans, the superstar confirmed that the project is currently shelved.
While promoting his upcoming Eid release Sikandar, Salman revealed that while the film was in development, it eventually fell through. “At one point, we were working on it and gave it our best shot, but things didn’t fall into place. Honestly, I’m not sure about the exact reason, but it seems the budget was a major factor. It’s a big-scale film, and for now, it’s been pushed,” he shared.
With this change in plans, Salman’s schedule has also shifted. “I usually juggle two films at a time, but now, with this one on hold, I have time for another project,” he added.
Looking ahead, Salman is rumored to be in talks with Sooraj Barjatya, possibly for the filmmaker’s next venture after Prem Ki Shaadi, which stars Ayushmann Khurrana. Meanwhile, Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2 is in the pipeline, though Salman jokingly pointed out that by the time it happens, “Munni will be all grown up and talking!”
As for Tiger vs Pathaan, his much-awaited face-off with Shah Rukh Khan, Salman clarified that it’s not happening “right now.”
Although the Atlee collaboration is off for now, Salman’s plate remains full with promising projects that are sure to keep fans entertained.
