Comedian Samay Raina, who was recently caught up in the India’s Got Latent controversy, has made a striking return to social media with a powerful announcement. After previously addressing the backlash through his Instagram stories, Samay is now back on his main feed with a big update: his upcoming international tour.
In a new video post, Samay revealed he’ll be performing across Europe, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand. The video starts with a voiceover seemingly referencing the recent criticism: “People who buy tickets to listen to all this stuff, they buy tickets and they go to these shows and they sit and listen and they clap for this, whatever this is. I do not know if these are even jokes.”
The clip also highlights memorable moments from his Unfiltered tour across North America — from packed venues in Toronto, Chicago, and Boston to roaring crowds in Newark, Dallas, Houston, and more. One heartwarming moment shows Samay receiving a video call from his parents mid-show, where he flips the camera to reveal the cheering audience.
As soon as the post went live, reactions poured in. Rapper Badshah commented, “Baawe,” while Apoorva Mukhija called him a “LEGEND.” Balraj Singh Ghai added, “Bro’s success is my success. Love you mere Bhai.”
The India’s Got Latent controversy erupted in February after a clip featuring Ranveer Allahbadia making controversial remarks about parents and sex went viral, leading to social media outrage and police complaints against those associated with the show, including Samay.
