Good news for the fans of Shahid Kapoor, the sports drama film Jersey will be released this Diwali (November-5). In the film, Shahid Kapoor will be playing the role of the cricketer.

Sports film Jersey will follow the story of a talented but a failed cricketer Arjun, and how he decided to return into the sports in his late 30’s, the film will feature Shahid Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur, and Pankaj Kapoor and is directed by Gowtham Tinnanuri. ‘Jersey’ is a remake of the critically acclaimed and commercially successful Telugu film by the same name.
Previously, during the shooting of the film in Chandigarh, the actor suffered from an injury, and after getting lots of messages from the fans, Shahid Kapoor thanked his fans and well-wishers for their love and concern. “Thank you for all the concern. Yes, I have got a few stitches but am recovering fast. Jersey has taken a little bit of my blood, but a script this good deserves that in the least. Have a good one you all. Keep it real.
