Shahrukh Khan is considered the Badshah of the Bollywood Film Industry. He has been a part of various blockbuster films and is ruling millions of hearts for years. Yes, there was a time when he had to struggle hard, but all that made him the king that he is today. But can you imagine him being super desperate for a movie in today’s time? That too for a role in the background?
If not, we are going to burst your bubble today. We too thought Shahrukh Khan has now become a name everyone wants to work with. And in this scenario, Shahrukh might have become someone who chooses films from the offers he gets and makes no efforts to get any other projects. But this is not the case.
Shahrukh Khan, even today, stays excited about his movies and has some desires to be a part of some special movies like Rocketry. You must have heard about this movie by R. Madhavan as it garnered immense appreciation at the 75th Cannes International Film Festival.
The film is set to hit the theaters on 1 July 2022 and stars R. Madhavan in the leading role. The film is a biography based on the former ISRO scientist Nambi Narayana who was falsely accused of espionage. And Shahrukh Khan will also be seen in a small role in this film.
But do you know that Shahrukh Khan himself had requested R. Madhavan to get a role in this movie? While promoting the film in Delhi, R. Madhavan revealed he had once had a word with SRK about this film when he was working with him in the film Zero. He proceeded by saying that Srk remembered the film and asked him about the update on the film in one of his birthday parties. Madhavan also revealed that Shahrukh Khan expressed his desire to work in the film and even said that he will work for any role by saying, ‘Mujhe Background Mein Koi Bhi Role Chalega. Main Is Film Ka Hissa Hona Chahta Hoon..’

Obviously, Madhavan then thought Shahrukh Khan was joking and on his wife Sarita’s suggestion, he dropped a text to Srk’s manager expressing gratitude for Khan’s keen interest and words for the film.
Madhavan said, ‘I dropped a message to Khan sahab’s manager asking her to convey my gratitude to him and I instantly got a text from the manager saying, ‘Khan sahab dates puch rahe hai shoot ki (Khan sir is asking about the dates of the shoot)’… and that’s how he became a part of our film.’

And this is how Shahrukh Khan became a part of the film, Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. It is being said that Srk will appear in the role of a journalist in the film. The film indeed is very special, that’s why even SRK couldn’t resist requesting Madhavan for a role in this one.
