The makers of Shakeela announced the release of the film. Shakeela will hit the theatres on Christmas and star Richa Chadha in the lead role.
The film is a biopic of a popular south Indian actress who worked in multiple adult films in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada languages.
Talking about the film, director Indrajit Lankesh said that Shakeela has been his dream project after he had an in-person conversation with the actress. He also said that,
“I did some extensive personal interviews with her and came to know so much about the person that she is behind that image of a star. And I knew that it is only Richa who can nail the part.
“This film will help youngsters who aspire to be part of the film industry understand that there is more to the overlying glitz and glamour,”
The film was supposed to hit the theatres this year, but the CVID 19 Pandemic didn’t let it happen. But now when the film is finally releasing let us hope it does well in the theatres. We feel this film will have a very strong message hidden for the audience which could prove to be very effective if decoded nicely. We hope the film receives a great response from the audience.
