This weekend is going to be a blast in ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 2’. In the third episode of the season, the cricketing giants are going to throw googlies of laughter along with Kapil’s team. Like the last season, this time also Team India’s ODI and Test captain Rohit Sharma is coming to the show with his platoon. During this, along with Rohit, Surya Kumar Yadav, Arshdeep Singh, Akshar Patel and Shivam Dubey are going to tell funny stories of becoming the world champion. The makers have also released the promo of this episode on Wednesday.
In the promo video of about one and a quarter minutes, we see Rohit Sharma’s secret being revealed, where it is revealed that he is the biggest ‘Ghajini’ of the team. On Archana Puran Singh’s question, Shivam Dubey pointed towards Rohit and said that at the time of toss he forgets a little name-vam. On this, Surya Kumar Yadav said that not the name, he forgets the coin itself.
At the beginning of the promo, Kapil says, ‘Rohit bhai, when you came in the last season, you were the runner-up of the World Cup. Now that you have come as the winner, don’t you think that our show is lucky for you?’ Rohit also gives a quick reply to this. He says, ‘You should also believe that after I came on this show last time, your show became number 1.’
In the promo video, we also get a glimpse of Kiku Sharda and Krishna Abhishek, who arrive among the players in the getup of Sunny Deol and Dharmendra. While Sunil Grover arrives as The Great Khali, seeing whom everyone starts laughing.
In the show, Rohit Sharma revealed the fun and excitement after the World Cup final. He will tell in the show that his departure from Barbados was getting delayed due to a storm. In such a situation, every player had to ‘take care’ of the trophy for 15 minutes in their hotel room. Rohit laughed and said, ‘Some boys slept with it, took selfies…’ When asked who was the best, a cheeky picture of Suryakumar Yadav and his wife came up, with the trophy comfortably placed between them.
On the other hand, Arshdeep Singh did not get as much time with the trophy. He said, ‘For 10 minutes, it was with my parents. My dad was sharing it on WhatsApp groups, and my mother made it her WhatsApp status. I was only able to take 1 or 2 pictures with it.’
Akshar Patel said, ‘We didn’t realize it until we came back to India. But perhaps the biggest surprise? Had to give an interview in English! Mohammed Siraj told me that DK (Dinesh Karthik) bhai interviewed me in English. A lot of people speak English, I don’t know why we were selected!’
Shivam Dubey made a heartwarming comment in this fun and frolic. He said that after all the celebrations, he just wanted to return back to Mumbai and hug his father.
