Punjabi Singer and lyricist Shreer Brar has been booked for promoting violence in his song. As per reports, it is confirmed that the singer was booked in Patiala. He is arrested under the sections 294 & 504 of IPC for a song sung by Barbie Maan.
‘Jaan’ was released back in November 2020, in which Shreer was shown to have trespassed the Nabha Police Station in Patiala, where he rescued an arrested criminal by pointing a gun towards an on-duty police officer.
When asked about the arrest of the artist, Patiala SSP said,
‘Following a complaint, an FIR was registered and the singer has already been arrested. More raids are on to nab the other artists featuring in the same song.
Such glorification of guns and hatred will not be tolerated.”
