Recently Ranveer Singh took to his Instagram account and announced the commencement of Singham Again with a beautiful note seeking everybody’s blessings for the upcoming film. Ranveer Singh can be seen praying with Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn. The actor shares that he is all set to play Simmba in Singham Again!
Singham Again is in full swing but it seems like the film is about to land in legal trouble. According to bollywoodlife.com, as per the statements given by the judge of Bombay High Court Justice Gautam Patel, films like Singham portray a harmful message for the society.
The Indian Police Foundation organized an event to mark the annual day and police reforms day. On that event, Justice Gautam Patel mentioned that in films like Singham Again, it is shown that police officers rail against judges that are portrayed as docile, timid, poorly dressed and thickly spectacled.
Further he gave an example of Singham in which it is shown how the entire police force relies on one policeman who served the justice because the court has failed to prove the accused guilty. In the end of the film, it shows that how a policeman served the justice and courts were unable to do so.
He said, “These processes are slow…they have to be…because of the cardinal principle that the liberty of an individual is not to be confiscated. If this process was abandoned in favour of “shortcuts”, then we subvert the rule of law.”
Apart from Ajay Devgn, Singham Again will also star Ranveer Singh as Simmba and Akshay Kumar as Veer Sooryavanshi. Deepika Padukone will be playing the role of female cop while Kareena Kapoor Khan will play Ajay Devgn’s wife.
