Snapchat Launches Exclusive Features In Paid Version! Calls It Snapchat Plus

Not only Indians, but the entire world is crazy after Snapchat. The social-networking site is extremely popular, especially among the youth. Its widely used for a wide variety of filters, convenient chatting options, and most importantly maintaining a streak with your favourite people in social life.

If you’re someone who obsesses over Snapchat too, we have a piece of good news for you but with a twist. Snapchat has recently launched its plus version which will give you access to many exclusive features on the App. But the twist is the fact that this is not coming your way just like that. You will have to pay for activating Snapchat Plus.

Snapchat had confirmed the testing of this feature earlier this month, and now it has officially launched its paid subscription plan. It allows the users to take a weeklong free trial and then costs $3.99 a month, $21.99 for six months, or $39.99 for a year.

Snapchat Plus has been launched in some countries now for testing purposes. The United States, Canada, The United Kingdom, France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, and The United Arab Emirates are the countries that have got access to it already.

Snapchat Team stated, “Today we’re launching snapchat+ a collection of exclusive, experimental, and pre-release features available in Snapchat for $3.99/ month. This feature will allow us to deliver new Snapchat features to some of the most passionate members of our community and allow us to prioritise support”.

It will provide custom app icons and a story re-watch count which will allow users to know the number of times people have re-watched their stories. Snapchat Plus will also unlock a special feature in which the user will be able to pin any friend as #1 friend. Apart from this, it will also allow users to see the direction of travel from where friends moved recently (if your friend has consented to share the location). Many changes are related to profile and app appearance.

Many social media platforms have already launched these subscription services to earn more revenue, while the company Snapchat has also shown their concern about hitting its revenue targets because of the war in Ukraine.
