A couple of months before the Punjab Assembly polls, Punjabi singer, lyricist and actor, Sidhu Moosewala has joined the ruling Congress party. The singer who has millions of fans across the country and overseas has stepped in the politics of Punjab and wants to raise the voice of the community. For his new journey, People from Punjab and across the country are extending their support for the singer and wishing him luck.

But what caught our attention is when social activist Sonia Mann also extended her support publicly for the singer. She shared a long note on instagram and wrote, “Yes I support Sidhu Moosewala, I Support Youth of Punjab ( India ) Whoever comes for Punjab ..( India )I will support.. Change will only come when youth enters Politics with Fresh Ideas and Progessive Minds ..women have to participate and help to shape the future of Punjab Criticizing on social media helps nobody ..Hardwork on Ground level is what Really matters .” She ended the note with the hashtag Kisan Mazdoor Ekta Zindabad.
Sidhu Moosewala joined the Congress in Chandigarh in the presence of Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and state party chief Navjot Singh Sidhu. After launching his political role, Moosewala said he had started composing music four years ago but is now going to take a new step in his life. “I still Live in the same house in my village. My father is an ex-serviceman and my mother is a sarpanch. Residents of my area, Bathinda and Mansa, are associated with me. They have expectations from me”.

Now, after he has joined the party, people have high expectations & hopes from the singer as he has to bring improvement in the society.
