Sonu Sood Won’t Campaign For Sister In The Elections. Reveals The Reason

Sonu Sood has made his name not only in the entertainment industry but in the hearts of people. During the Covid panemic the actor has helped migrant workers to reach home and provide medical facilities. He was appointed as Punjab’s ‘icon’ over a year ago by the Election Commission of India. But the actor has recently stepped back voluntarily.

But prior to that, he announced that his sister Malvika Sood has joined Congress. Sonu in an interview with Times Of India said, “I feel proud that she took the plunge. She has been living there for the past couple of years and knows the issues that matter to people. I am glad she will be able to be in touch with people and help them directly.”

Further when asked about his plans to campaign for his sister, he says, “It is her journey, and I have nothing to do with politics. I will keep doing the work that I have been doing. I won’t be campaigning for her in the elections because I want her to work hard and do her bit. As far as I am concerned, I will always stay away from politics or any political affiliations.”

Meanwhile, Malvika’s entry to the Congress has come after 2 months as to when Sonu had announced in November last year that his sister would join politics to serve the people of Moga district.
