Sourav Ganguly’s Convoy Involved In Accident In West Bengal, No Injuries Reported

Former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly’s convoy was involved in an accident on Thursday in Purba Bardhaman district, West Bengal, although no one was injured, according to police reports. The incident occurred near Dantanpur on the Durgapur Expressway when a speeding lorry overtook Ganguly’s car. In an attempt to avoid a collision, the driver of Ganguly’s vehicle had to apply a sudden brake, resulting in a chain reaction that caused vehicles in the convoy to crash into each other. One of the vehicles even struck the car in which Ganguly was traveling.

Despite the scare, the damage to the vehicles was minimal, with only two sustaining minor injuries. The former cricketer, who was en-route to attend an event organized by Burdwan University, was unharmed.

“He (Ganguly) attended the programme later on. It went smoothly,” said a police officer from West Bengal Police. Despite the mishap, Ganguly continued with his planned schedule, highlighting the calm and composed manner in which the situation was handled.

Reecently, Sourav Ganguly has confirmed that actor Rajkummar Rao will portray him in an upcoming biopic. He mentioned, “From what I’ve heard, Rajkummar Rao will play the role… but there are issues with dates.” The film, produced by Luv Films, will focus on Ganguly’s illustrious career, though potential scheduling conflicts could cause delays in its release. Rao is currently busy with his ongoing projects, “Bhool Chuk Maaf” and “Maalik”.
