South superstar Naga Chaitanya’s brother, Akhil Akkineni is a big sports freak and also a Virat Kohli fan as we can see him posting a lot of stuff about it on his social media. He has now finally expressed his long time desire to play cricketer Virat Kohli on the big screen.
Akhil Akkineni is on a promotional tour for his upcoming Indian-Telugu film, Most Eligible Bachelor opposite Pooja Hegde. In a recent interview, Akhil was asked about biopics and the sports personality he wishes to play. “So, here and there a few biopics come in, but I strongly feel that it’s easy to say that let’s just make a sports-oriented film, we can just pick up cricket, horse riding, etc and can do it. But unless the story is that good, the sport will not be highlighted, and I have still not found that as yet,” said Akhil.
When asked about which athlete’s journey inspired him the most and he would like to portray him on the big screen, he replied, Virat Kohli has inspired him a lot and his journey has a lot of fire, dedication and an absolute passion. He also said that his dedication towards his art and sport is something that everybody needs to follow.
Whereas, Akhil is really excited to get ‘83’ film released as he said this kind of script really excites him. He also wishes that the film works well on the big screen once it gets released. Akhil Akkineni and Pooja Hegde’s upcoming film, Most Eligible Bachelor is the talk of the town currently as it is scheduled to release on 15th of October in cinemas.
