In a shocking accident caught on camera, a speeding car hit four men standing outside a roadside restaurant on National Highway 9 near Hapur, Uttar Pradesh, late Monday night. One man died on the spot, and three others were seriously hurt.
The video shows three men casually walking down the steps of the eatery when suddenly a fast-moving car appears and crashes into them. One of the men managed to jump aside just in time, but the other two were thrown into the air as the car slammed into them and then crashed into the restaurant wall.
The man who lost his life in the accident has been identified as Ajit, a resident of Bulandshahr. The other three victims are being treated for serious injuries.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Vineet Bhatnagar confirmed the incident and said, “It happened late at night when some people were leaving the restaurant after dinner. A Swift car, which seemed to be out of control, rammed into them. One person died and three were injured.”
The police said the driver fled the scene. However, they have traced the car’s registration number and expect to arrest the driver soon.
