Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse Postponed — Sony Aims for 2026 Release

There are people all over the world who watch the ‘Spider-Verse’ franchise. The popularity of the film is such that people keep a close eye on every update related to it. Fans were also waiting for its release for a long time, which Sony has now postponed.

After the success of the second part of the film, everyone was expecting that the makers would soon release ‘Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse’, but due to some reasons, Sony has decided not to release it in 2025.

According to a report by Deadline, Sony Pictures Animation is not planning to release ‘Spider-Man Beyond the Spider-Verse’ even in 2025. The makers are currently working on the quality of the film as its animation was well-liked by the people. In such a situation, their priority is to make it even better.

It is expected that this film will be released in theaters in 2026. Shameik Moore has played the role of Miles Morales in the movie. At the same time, actors like Hailee Steinfeld, Brian Tyree Henry, Lauren Velez, Jake Johnson, Jason Schwartzman, Issa Rae, Karan Soni, Shea Whigham, Greta Lee and Daniel Kaluuya are also seen who have given their voice in it.

Pavitra Prabhakar was introduced as the Indian Spider-Man in ‘Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse’. Karan Soni dubbed the character in it. Meanwhile, cricketer Shubman Gill gave voice to it in Hindi dubbing.

‘Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse’ won awards like Best Animated Feature at the Critics Choice Movie Awards, Annie Awards and Producers Guild of America Awards. It also received nominations at the Golden Globe Awards, BAFTA Awards and Academy Awards. The film lost its chance to win an Oscar due to the victory of ‘The Boy and the Heron’.

‘Spider-Man’ is made under the banner of Sony Pictures Entertainment Motion Picture Group; “Across the Spider-Verse” was directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson, and the story will continue in Spider-Man Beyond the Spider-Verse.
