The most awaited web series for Sunil Grover fans ‘Sunflower’ is finally released and streaming on Zee 5. Before we start mentioning every detail about this latest series, we feel its importance to highlight how beautifully the casting of the project has been done. Here we aren’t only talking about the lead and pivotal characters, but every small and minimal character too.
Sunflower stars our favourite Sunil Grover with some amazing and supremely talented actors like Ranvir Shorey, Girish Kulkarni, Shonali Nagrani, Sonal Jha and Ashish Vidyarthi.
The trailer of Sunflower released on May 28th and made fans excited about it. And when it’s finally streaming now, the fans already know about their weekend plans and we are sure many die hard fans of Sunil Grover like us must have already binge watched it already.
The plot of Sunflower is based in a society called ‘Sunflower’ where weird people live including Sunil Grover too. And this is the reason behind why almost everyone is a suspect in the murder mystery. Though, Sunil Grover is the lucky man who eventually becomes the prime suspect slowly. But he hasn’t commited the murder actually.
Don’t worry, this was a spoiler because we aren’t telling you about who actually is the murderer, but you will get to know it too in the very beginning of the web series. But this doesn’t make it any less entertaining, thriller or amazing. Infact, when we already are aware about who the man behind the crime is, we don’t invest the rest of our time in guessing and untangling the mystery in our minds. Rather we enjoy the plot, series of funny events, dialogues and superb acting skills of the cast.
The dialogues are written extremely well and the series is a dark comedy because it consists of various elements which will definitely make you laugh out loud. And talking about the language used, Sunflower does have abuses which makes it a little tough to watch with family.
Sunil Grover has stole the show with his unbelievable acting skills. Because at no moment you’ll able to believe the fact that he was just acting in front of the camera. Also, we cannot ignore the two special investigation police officers played by Ranvir Shorey and Girish Kulkarni. They are absolutely nailed their performances and especially Ranvir Shorey because he the serious man who isn’t interested in even smiling.
The ultimate review of Sunflower can be concluded with the fact that this series is not really as mysterious as you. The mystery is solved in the very start, but is definitely thrilling as you get engaged with what’s happening on screen. The plot and screenplay of Sunflower won’t let you miss any moment on screens.
This is an absolute entertainer which we loved a lot. We are giving it 4/5 stars wholeheartedly. This series is yet another reason to love the ultimate stunner Sunil Grover even more.
