Thalapathy Vijay Files Case Against 11 People Including His Parents, Using His Name For Political Purpose

Tamil actor Thalapathy Vijay has reportedly filed a case against 11 people, including his mother and father. The news has taken social media by storm and is currently a talking topic among industry people as well.

For the unversed, Vijay’s father and veteran director SA Chandrasekhar started a political party called the All India Thalapathy Vijay Makkal Iyakkam. The political party has Vijay’s SA Chandrasekhar as General Secretary, his mother Shoba Chandrasekhar as treasurer, and Padmanabhan as the leader, as filed with the Election Commission of India.

In the lawsuit, Vijay has sought a stay against using his name to gather the public and other poll-related activities. The office-bearers of the fan club have also been named in Vijay’s lawsuit. The case will be heard on September 27.

Further, when the news got viral, Vijay distancing himself from the father’s political efforts released a statement which reads, “I inform my fans and the public that there is no relation whatsoever between the political party that my father has started and me, directly or indirectly.”

Also news portal suggest, Chandrasekar has responded by saying that there is no family without problems and fathers and sons may disagree but they mend their differences eventually.

This is not the first time this case occurred; last year, media reports claimed that Vijay would join his father’s party. Vijay dismissed such claims in a public statement clarifying that he has no connection with the political party

Meanwhile, on the work front, Vijay recently completed the shooting of his upcoming film, Beast. The film also features Pooja Hedge, who is making a comeback in Telugu cinema after a long gap.
