The Biggest Franchise of Punjabi Industry, Carry On Jatta Completes 11 Years Today

Carry On Jatta franchise completes 11 years in the Punjabi industry today. It is one of the biggest franchises of the Punjabi film industry that has raised the bar to another level. 

Not only in the Punjabi industry, but the star studded starcast was even invited to the Bollywood reality shows for their promotions. 

Carry On Jatta part 1 was released in 2012 which was like a rollercoaster ride in the amusement park full of laughters. The film starred Gippy Grewal, Binnu Dhillon, Jaswinder Bhalla, BN Sharma, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Mahie Gill etc. 

The film did a business of around ₹18 crores and received an IMDb rating of 4 stars. From the dialogue delivering to hilariously comedy acting, this film received immense love from the audience. 

Carry On Jatta 2 premiered in 2018 and with the same star cast except Mahi Gill, who was replaced by Sonam Bajwa, the film didn’t impress the viewers. The second part did not fare well at the box office, the actors managed to leave a positive mark in the hearts of their audience. 

This year, Carry On Jatta 3 was released and with its block buster opening the film crossed the ₹100 crore mark! This is the only Punjabi film to cross the milestone of 100 crores at the box office! 

The film is still running in the cinema halls across India. The makers and the actors have proved yet again that this franchise is the biggest and the funniest franchise of the Punjabi industry. 

Director Smeep Kang, screen writer Naresh Kathooria and all the actors of the film were even invited in The Kapil Sharma Show for their promotions. 

Actors Sonam Bajwa and Gippy Grewal were also invited to Big Boss OTT for promoting their film which has never happened before in Punjabi film industry. 

The film has created a history in the Punjabi cinema as it was the biggest and the longest promotion done by any Punjabi movie that went for almost 3 months.
