The Flying Sikh Is No More: Milkha Singh Passes Away At 91

We believe the Coronavirus is not only a global pandemic but also the ugliest monster as well. It took away mang precious gems of the world and Milkha Singh is one among them.

Milkha Singh popularly known as the Flying Sikh has died at the age of 91 fighting with Coronavirus. He was battling with Covid-19 for the last one month and was recently shifted to Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education, Chandigarh from the Covid intensive care unit.

The family is bearing a huge loss because recently his wife Nirmal Kaur also passed away. The family of Milkha Singh has released an official statement to inform about his demise. The statement read like,

“It is with extreme sadness that we would like to inform you that Milkha Singh Ji passed away at 11:30 pm on the 18th of June 2021.

He fought hard but God has his ways and it was perhaps true love and companionship that both our mother Nirmal ji and now Dad have passed away in a matter of 5 days.”

The prime minister Sh. Narendra Modi and many other celebrities have shared their condolences for the family in his recent tweet. 

Unfortunate is the fact that he was tested negative earlier this week. The fans and well wishers are in extreme pain and shock as this news is really heartbreaking and saddening.

With heavy hearts we pay our deepest condolences to his family and believe it’s a big loss that cannot be repaired.
